Hello!! I am Merlyn Fereira and I design book covers, chapter headers and lovely mockups to make your designs stand out from the rest.

I am anti-AI artist and everything I design is from non-AI sources.

In April 2025, I moved to designing book cover for Wattpad authors and after finding some clients, I expanded the same for Inkitt authors.When I'm not doing design-related work, I'm either listening to an audiobook on Audible or reading books on Wattpad, BookFunnel or NetGalley and spending time watching YouTube videos from TwoSet Violin, Dylan Is In Trouble and netflixparty. I love giving in-depth and honest reviews about what I liked or disliked about books on my bookstagram account, Pagebound and Goodreads.

Portfolio

I design covers of different genres. They can be bright and cutesy to dark and menacing. I can't draw human beings yet (I'm still learning).For the sake of making this portfolio, some of the designs here are designed from free assets. When I work with clients, I always use licensed stock images and fonts.

~All prices are inclusive of stock photo prices, vector image prices, font prices and payment processor's fees. Please mention the currency you use once I send you the Google Form and proceed only if you have these payment options. I do the currency conversions and will let you know the amount.

+There will be a 50% upfront charge before I begin with the design. It's not refundable. This is applicable for all cover designs.

Terms and conditions

By working with me, you agree to not change any part of the design without me doing it and feeding it to AI. This means, you won't be providing me with AI references as well.

By 'buyer', I mean the person who is purchasing the designs to use for the services I offer here. By 'designer', I mean myself--- The person who is designing the services mentioned here.

Buyers cannot use the designs, the designer's likeness, voice or persona in training AI models. This also includes to create deepfakes, synthetic or AI generated versions of the designer. Buyers cannot use the designer's likeness in any manner that suggests the designer is endorsing products or services beyond the terms specified in the agreement.

All designs will be watermarked when they'll be sent to the client. Once the second half of the payment is completed, the watermark will be removed. The design files will be sent via email and an email thread system will be maintained.

I will refuse projects that don't fit in my scope of work.

The buyer has to give proper credit anywhere the work is being posted. It has to be a link where the artist has their entire portfolio on display as the same site as the buyer.
*Example: If the buyer has an account on Instagram, they have to give credit this way--- (name of the service done by me) + (at)my username.

By working with me, you agree that I can promote my design on social media in any way I seem fit. This also applies for incomplete and abandoned projects. These projects will be re-used for future designs. Products once sold, won't be available again unless it's a premade.

There is no refund once the payment is complete.

Licenses are not transferable. This means you won't be able to obtain the license for the assets I used. However, I can provide you the link to where I downloaded the assets so you can use them if you want.

The terms and conditions will be updated here without prior notice.

You are requested to strictly abide by these license rules by the companies I use the assets from. I have embedded links which state their terms and conditions below. You are welcome to check them if you want.

For stock image license with respect to digital books, the license does not have any limit on the number of copies.

Please note: Covers designed digitally will be more vibrant as compared to when they're printed. The color shift is normal and expected in the printing process.

If you choose to use fonts in the entire interior of your e-book, you will have to purchase the e-book font license yourself when you're embedding that font.
